Friday’s On - Ziggy Marley Makes His Voice Heard In The Climate Discussion

Ziggy Marley’s new single Friday’s On is a direct reference to the Fridays For Future movement, an initiative by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg which started in August 2018. The video shows images of these demonstrations. During the Friday school strikes, youngsters and students are calling on the authorities to take action against global warming. Strikes have already been organized in countless cities all over the world.
It is not the first time that Ziggy has touched similar topics. Earlier this year, the eight-time Grammy winner released the video [WATCH HERE] for his song World Revolution, taken from the album Rebellion Rises (2018). In the video, which also features his children, Marley shows that the youth has the power to start a revolution necessary to change the future of our earth and society.
Official release date for Friday's On is December 20th, 2019.
