Queen Ifrica Pays Homage To Nina Simone with 'Four Women' Cover - Produced by Stephen Marley

In Tribute to the legendary, iconic Nina Simone; Queen Ifrica pays homage with a Reggae cover of the marquee track Four Women (originally recorded in 1965, released in April 1966). In a time where respect of female equality, diversity, culture, history, ethnicity is needed more than ever in the forefront of the global consciousness; this Stephen Marley produced take on Nina Simone's powerful declaration describing Four Women is surely relevant. The song was released (Ghetto Youths International) on Monday April 26th 2021; the anniversary of the 1969 recording of Nina's Live from Berkley album. The video for the song was premiered today. Queen Ifrica explained in a press release: “I was able to channel Nina Simone because I am connected to the four women mentioned throughout the song. It was very exciting working with people I am familiar with in the form of the band, and young vibrant people such as the directors of the video Extreme Arts. Stephen Marley and his label Ghetto Youths made the process so easy."
