Ostróda Reggae Festival presents its new festival anthem Ostróda Reggae Festival Time.
Recorded in Jamaica in 2025 at the Waxncannon Studio in Jamaica, featuring internationally acclaimed reggae musicians, the song beautifully captures the spirit, unity, and vibrant atmosphere of one of Europe’s most important reggae events.
2026 celebrates 25th year, the festival has gathered international audiences to be entertained in the picturesque region of Masuria, in the charming city of Ostróda, Poland — becoming a cultural landmark on the European music map.
The anthem was written & produced by Brinsley Forde — British singer, actor, Radio & televison host and founder of the UK's iconic Reggae group Aswad, Brinsley also a recipient of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his outstanding contribution to the arts, reggae music and British musical culture.
The original composition was written by Piotr Kolaj, founder and director of the festival, whose vision has shaped the identity of Ostróda Reggae Festival for over two decades.
The anthem recording sessions took place at the Waxncannon Studio owned by legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser, recipient of the Musgrave Medal awarded by the Jamaican government for outstanding achievements in music. Deans horn arrangement enriches the anthem with warmth, elegance, and unmistakable Jamaican authenticity.
The project brought together an exceptional lineup of Jamaican Reggae talent: Randy Fletcher, Okiel McKentyre, Carol McLaughlin (Oneness Band), Mitchum Chin, Kirk Bennett (known for collaborations with Beres Hammond and Busy Signal), Jason Welsh (Heavyweight Rockaz), Congo Billy Watson, and outstanding backing vocalists Sherida Sharpe, Nikki Burt, and Adena Myrie.
Sound engineer: legendary bassist and producer Courtney Panton, widely recognized in Poland for his band New Kingston. The track was mixed by Romel Marshall. Production coordination was overseen by Olivia “Lili” Musiatowicz of Positive Music Promotion, the organizer of the Ostróda Reggae Festival.
