Luciano Cancels European Tour

UPDATE - November 11th: Statement by Sonia Sterling [Jahmessenjah Production]
"
It’s with a heavy heart to announce that the Europe 2016 'Zion Awake Tour' has been canceled. I tried my best to save the tour by working with the promoters to ensure that the Artist Luciano needs were met in regards to adding more people to his traveling crew, and that the shows were professionally produced, and promoted. This tour was carefully thought through and put together by T-Boy and Myself. We realized it was important to Luciano's fans to perform in other territories and keep his works moving, so we looked to Europe and Africa to build a tour.

Some concerns were raised after the tour started by the artist and discussed with the promoter. An agreement was accepted by both parties to continue the tour after the promoter accepted the artist requests, in order to move forward with the tour. Unfortunately, an announcement was made that the tour cannot continue at this time.

We apologize to all of the promoters and fans who spent their money and time in wanting to be a part of the 'Zion Awake Tour'. T-Boy holds no deposits from the promoters and we will ensure that all deposits will be returned.

We apologize to the fans that were looking forward to seeing the Messenger this year. We look forward to seeing you at a later time as we look into rescheduling future dates. At this time, I am asking everyone to be patient with Luciano, as he has been through a lot of stress this year. Again, we deeply apologize to everyone, for the inconvenience and confusion we have caused. This was not our fault, and we are seeking to rectify this situation as soon as possible.

Jah guide and protect, Sonia Sterling"

UPDATE - November 10th: Luciano published a video statement! Watch it below

Bad news for all Luciano fans who expected to see him live in concert in Europe. The tour started in Bremen, Germany (November 2nd), followed by a stop in Arnhem, Holland. But today Luciano published the following statement to explain why he had to stop the tour:

Greetings and salutations to all my fans and promoters in Europe, especially those in countries where I was scheduled to perform Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Holland & Italy.

I regret to announce that I am calling off this, the November-December Zion Awake European Tour 2016, owing to the fact that I am dissatisfied with the way that this tour was haphazardly put together. It’s very apparent that my representatives Miss Sonia Sterling
and T-Boy of Bremen, Germany, who were mainly in charge of planning this tour have not done a good job. Over the years I have worked very hard to build my career and to establish myself as one of the icons of reggae music and I am very disgruntled by the way myself and my fans have been treated.

I definitely don’t like the way my career is going and if I don’t put a stop to this, these people are going to ruin my career and my fan base. I will not standby and stoop to this substandard misrepresentation of the Messenjah and the message. So please bear with me as I make this stance in defense of my rights and in order to manage the expectations of my fans.

I know that it is going to be a process for those fans who purchased advance tickets to receive refunds and the promoters to receive their returns on deposits where applicable. Promoters that were involved in this tour will receive first priority on future engagements as they are rescheduled.

In summary, for future bookings and business, please contact my manager Anthony Cargill - anthonygadd@yahoo.co.uk or anthony@lucianomessenjah.com

I deeply apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause, but please bear with me while I straighten out my life and my business affairs.

Thank you for your overstanding.

Yours Truly,

JahMessenjah Luciano
