ABOUT THE HERB CURB @ REBEL SALUTE 2023
Rebel Salute 2016 introduced a new and exciting component to the show, The Herb Curb, which was a hit, nearly as much as the many hits that the long lineup of artistes performed on stage over the two nights at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann. Since then, The Rebel Salute Herb Curb represents a commitment to the preservation of Rastafari and culture and its importance to the development of the global cannabis industry.

Situated in the southwestern section of the venue, this private pocket, back dropped by the Caribbean Sea, provides a highly empowering experience for the “Herb Curbers” on the extant virtues of the miracle plant. In addition, there is a designated smoking lounge, complete with seating and video feed from the main stage.

THE HERB CURB IS AN ENGAGING AND EMPOWERING EXPERIENCE
The Herb Curb’s enclosed area displays educational, spiritual, medicinal and recreational products and content which affords ‘Saluters’ the opportunity to learn about all things Cannabis in a controlled environment. The Herb Curb also features a conference component and a symposium component which embodies the full spectrum of the Jamaican cannabis industry and ecosystem through educational, sacramental, therapeutic, and medicinal products, discussions, information, and practical demonstrations. Its uses, applications and numerous byproducts on the cutting edge of organic medicinal exploration are on full display.

WHO IS ALLOWED
First and foremost, the ‘Herb Curb’ recognizes the obvious medicinal and educational applications of this majestic plant, created by Jah, beyond its recreational use.
Rebel Salute is a family event where children under the age of 12 years are allowed free entry. However, persons under the age of 18 years will not be allowed to enter this area of the venue. The area is partitioned and secured by a private security firm as well as by officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, lest a natural mystic flows through the air to the disturbance of our general crowd.

The enclave is also monitored by Rebel Salute staff who are tasked primarily with the responsibility of assisting with regulating entrance to the area.

Limited access can be afforded to student groups accompanied by a teacher or representative of the related school as well as researchers in the area of cannabis use and application.

USE OF GANJA AT THE EVENT
Each person is allowed to carry the permitted amount as per the amendments to the relevant legislation. However, there will be designated areas associated within the Herb Curb for smoking.

INVITATION TO THOROUGHLY ENJOY REBEL SALUTE 2023!
We ask that you recall and adhere to our no alcohol policy, our envious record of safety and our commitment to maintaining and elevating Rebel Salute as an authentic Jamaican product of which we can all be proud.

6TH ANNUAL HERB CURB DAY 1 – CONFERENCE

Through its access to a captive Rebel Salute audience, the HERB CURB builds upon an established cultural platform and provides a unique opportunity to provide exposure and education to the wider Jamaican and international community on relevant Ganja issues. The Herb Curb conference facilitates the participation of individuals, organisations and businesses, locally and internationally, to participate in and support this opportunity to network, exhibit and showcase themselves in the various segments of the local regulated cannabis industry.

The 6th annual installation of the conference will explore the theme:

“THE CURRENT STATE OF GANJA IN THE WORLD – INDEGENOUS PRIVILEGES?”
The topics to be explored will include:

  • INDIGENOUS RIGHTS TO CANNABIS IN VARIOUS PARTS OF THE WORLD.
  • INDEGINOUS POLICIES – COMPARE AND CONTRAST
  • WHERE ARE WE HEADED? – GRASSROOT FARMERS

6TH ANNUAL HERB CURB DAY 2 – SYMPOSIUM
The HERB CURB Symposium offers patrons an opportunity to participate in practical DIY Workshops intended to encourage an informed self-sufficient approach to various methods of cannabis use.
