A vocational school for young men in Kingston, Jamaica, the Alpha Institute focuses on the holistic development of at-risk youth ages 16-18 by teaching trade courses balanced with academic classes. The Alpha Institute is well-known for its amazing music program which has spawned many music greats and pioneers such as Joe Harriott (jazz), Don Drummond (ska), Winston Francis (ska soul singer), Leroy Smart (reggae) and 1997 Grammy nominee Winston Foster aka Yellowman (dancehall). The interface will allow the school’s studio to act more like a real studio by allowing multiple instruments to record at the same time.
