Dexta Daps, Burning Spear & Original Koffee @ SummerJam 2026

The first 10 artists have been announced: Only 205 days to go until it's time to “Catch the Sun”! Then when some of the most celebrated names in reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop will take over the stages of the Summerjam Festival, turning its 39th edition into an unforgettable festival weekend. From July 3 to 5, 2026 – no music fan should miss it!

CATCH THE SUN – THE MOTTO FOR 2026
And where better to catch the sun in Cologne than at Fühlinger See, surrounded by reggae, dancehall and other urban music? Nowhere else! That's exactly why next year’s motto fits Summerjam perfectly. “Catch the Sun” also echoes the spirit of reggae itself, rooted in nature, spirituality and joy of life.

Especially at the beginning of winter, when temperatures drop and there is little sun, the longing for sunshine, summer and festivals grows stronger. The anticipation for the next Summerjam can begin. And that’s best to do with this line-up release!

THE FIRST ACTS FOR 2026
Burning Spear is an absolute roots reggae legend, shaping the genre for more than 50 years with timeless classics like Slavery Days and Hail H.I.M. He’s an artist every true reggae fan has to see live.

With Original Koffee and Lila Iké, a new generation of Jamaican reggae artists is taking over the stage, combining roots sound with modern influences from soul, R&B, and hip-hop. They also show how much depth, spirituality, and female perspective there is in today's reggae scene.

Bonez MC last shared the Red Stage with Vybz Kartel in 2025. Now the rapper is returning in 2026 as one of the headliners. He is not only a founding member of 187 Strassenbande, also one of Germany's most successful rappers.

Jamaican dancehall artist Dexta Daps impresses with his smooth voice and captivating stage presence.

None other than Bob Marley's son will be performing at Summerjam next year: Ky-Mani Marley. He is known for tracks like “Hustler” and “New Heights” and has a voice that brings back memories of his legendary father’s voice.

Christopher Martin, one of the most exciting international voices in modern reggae, will be performing on the Summerjam stage. His charismatic stage presence is guaranteed to fascinate his fans.

Bausa and OG Keemo, two important voices in German hip-hop, will show the diversity of the genre. While Bausa's lyrics often deal with love and heartbreak, OG Keemo's lyrics often focus on street reality, crime, and experiences of racism.

From Jamaican reggae and dancehall to German hip-hop, the line-up goes on with reggae from France. At the beginning of their career, Dub Inc mixed dub and metal without knowing exactly where their musical journey would take them. Today, they are one of the most successful French reggae bands with an unique sound.

With these first 10 acts, Summerjam once again demonstrates that it presents a first-class selection of artists beyond reggae, making it one of the most important festivals for urban music.

We are already looking forward to announcing more line-up highlights for the 39th edition of Summerjam in the new year. For now, we are excited about the already sold-out charity concert ‘Rise Up Jamaica’ this coming weekend. Not only a lot of money will be raised there, the festival will also double the proceeds up to €25.000. The proceeds will go directly to Jamaica to support reconstruction efforts after the terrible Hurricane Melissa. Right there where our festival has its roots." (Marius Brozi, organizer)
