Solomonic Productions Ltd (SPL) is, as JahB would say, “Livicated” to maintaining and celebrating Bunny Wailer’s pioneering reggae heritage. This release is in honor of the 76th Earthday of Bunny Wailer’s wife and SLP Director; Jean Audrey Watt, who has been missing since May 23, 2020.
This timeless classic was digitally remastered at Anchor Recording Studios, one of Jamaica's premier recording facilities established in 1987 by legendary producer Augustus 'Gussie' Clarke.
The album prominently features Rise and Shine, which has become one of Reggae’s most popular and enduring mantras. This uplifting track encourages listeners to honor their ancestors, while embracing each day with hope and purpose. The album also includes socially conscious songs such as the title track Liberation, addressing themes of freedom and resistance, and Bald Head Jesus a spiritual reflection of postcolonial religion. The album blends strong lyrical messages with traditional reggae rhythms, capturing Bunny Wailer's commitment to both cultural pride and social justice.
