Emerging reggae artist Naomi Cowan of Kingston, Jamaica brings a fresh twist to the classic mixtape concept with the Paradise Plum Mixtape. This project is presented by DJ Alpha Lion and mixed by Fyah Youth of WrdSoundPwr, an emerging music collective of DJs and producers throughout the Caribbean.

Songstress Naomi Cowan embodies a fusion of foundational reggae and dancehall Riddims topped with mashups of her favorite songs. The mixtape features cameos from Romain Virgo, Shanique Marie of Equiknoxx Music & Daviannah (daughter of reggae legend Tony Rebel).

The collaboration with WrdSoundPwr was birthed when Naomi Cowan and Jason Panton (Alpha Lion) of WrdSoundPwr sat in a studio going through the best foundational riddims from the genre. They then sifted through and found inspiration from various places.

The mixtape also features sneak previews of Naomi’s upcoming tracks So Right & Manuscript Song.
