Houston 'we have a problem'
After a great show in Santa fe. We took a break from the tour, which was defiantly warranted , as we had limited days off and the vocalists needed a break and so too the musicians and crew. So we all flew to JA for four days break . It's was also a special time, as Damians little brother Christian was getting married that very weekend. so here's the first disaster for the tour, My flight ends up getting delayed and I don't make the wedding, jah know star!! I don't even want to speak of this really, because it still bugging me out how I missed it, I mean my whole family was there My dad played chello with a full band. My sister was there..How cud I miss dat man,. Chu!!!. And it was a wonderfull event. I heard it went well and I spoke with Christian just minutes before the wedding and let him know it was I wouldn't mek it,. Not like made it ok, but it made me feel a bit better, nah mean.
So here comes the second drama, on the way back to Houston to resume the tour I get tied up in the airport and end up missing my connection flight from Atlanta to Houston, the airline told me I couldn't get a flight till the next morning, so I shouted the tour manager Pretty and he lined up a hotel in Atlanta near the airport. By 5.30am I was outta there, don't think I even slept dat night, I was just eager to link forward my team. Now would you believe that after all this I reach Houston finally and the airline has lost my bag! Jeeeezzz, more crap to deal wid, and I'll tell yu this, I wouldn't see the bag again till the end of the US leg....that was a drag. Special thanks to Damian and Krys for helping mi get my bag back, jah know!
I got in to Houston and slept,. Woke up and shot to sound check, I shout mi bredrin Pall Wall from the sound check and let him know to link cause he is our bredrin, and I'm working on beats for his next album. The show was great , great energy and special guests in the building. Bun B, whom I respec was there wid his crew and Paul Wall showed up with his crew,. It was a blessed vibes...Bun B joined the Distant relative family that night as he got up on the Dj Green Lantern remix of Leaders which is fire,listen out for it. Mad mad ting dat mi dadz, dweet!
